• Adjustable Suspension

Don't worry about change. The KTM 85 SX's WP XACT suspension is adjustable upfront and at the rear. The WP XACT AER fork can be easily modified with the use of an air pump. This allows riders to tailor the KTM 85 SX to their specifications, weight, or track conditions. The WP XACT monoshock is fully changeable for preload, compression, and rebound.

• Engine

The KTM 85 SX holds the kind of firepower that makes it the reference in the start gate. Weighing 120 g less than the previous generation, the engine produces high performance and optimized integration with the chassis. This means punch in the low and mid-RPM range, torque, and reliability.

• Ergonomics

Meet the 2025 KTM 85 SX in a dark alley, and you'd be forgiven for thinking it was one of its bigger siblings. With a carefully scaled-down design that mimics that of the full-sized KTM SX range, this little weapon has unparalleled aesthetic appeal. What's more, it also provides young riders with an exceptional riding experience and sensation, getting them ready to step up to the big leagues.

• Frame

Premium handling and feel comes through a high-strength chromium molybdenum steel frame design, taken from the full-sized KTM SX range. Together with forged connecting parts, carefully calculated parameters of longitudinal flex and torsional rigidity, and incorporated sheet metal parts allow for tailor-made stiffness. The frame layout features a typical MX design without any cross tube behind the steering head. The rear shock mount is separate from the main upper frame tube like our full-size models, with frame protectors as standard.

• Radiators

The KTM 85 SX features state-of-the-art radiators produced by Pankl, inspired by the full-size SX range. These feature the same design albeit shortened to fit the 85cc needs, size and works to ensure the engine is running at optimal temperatures when being ripped around the track, lap after lap. For 2026, a new threaded radiator cap allows easier and faster opening with reduced force.
